As baby girl gets a little bigger, the Doctors can more clearly see her heart, and what her complication is. As of recently, the doctors now think she has whats called a double outlet of the right ventricle (DORV). This means that both major arteries coming off the heart are both coming off of her right ventricle. They are still in the wrong spot, and her Ventricular Septal defect (VSD), or hole in her heart, is still there. We wont know for sure what her diagnosis is, and what her treatment plan will be until she is born, and they can actually examen her without having to go through my belly. As my doctor says... "She still has a heart problem, and still needs surgery, its just the details of what surgeries and how many she needs." Right now it is looking like she will need 2-3 surgeries instead of just 1. Doctors are still very optimistic about our little girl, and her outcomes. I asked my Doctor the other day if she will have any limitations with her heart condition. He said she probably wouldn't be the fastest girl in her class, and probably won't run a marathon, but that if all goes well she would be able to run around a be a normal kid. Sounds just fine to me... we'll do ballet little one.

We have our next big cardiology/ECHO appt on Feb 5, and though it's totally possible that our diagnosis could change too, I hope it's either a better diagnosis or nothing worse. Don't think I can handle much more!
Hope your pregnancy continues to go well. xo Kierra
