Americana

So I love everything about summer... warm weather, snowcones, baseball, picnics, hotdogs, swimming, fireworks, camping, and pies. One of my most favorite memories of summer when I was a child was picking blackberries with my mom. We would get buckets and go in the evening time, right when it would start to cool off, and pick blackberries till our buckets were full. Then my mom would always make homemade blackberry pie. Its always instilled within me a love for berry picking and homemade pies. I feel like its kind of a grandma thing to love, but I love to make homemade pies. And I'd love it if I could find some patches where I could actually pick my own berries. Untill then store bought berries will have to do. This weekend we grilled steaks, went to the pool, and of course... made a Cherry pie.
