Devin turned 25 on Friday and to celebrate we did exactly what he wanted....
Devin and I both work for Pinnacle Security, so Thursday night after I got off I went over to his desk and covered it with his favorite snacks/treats and a handmade sign, by me, that said Happy Birthday and had a picture of a lizard on it. I should have taken a picture of it when I set it all up on thursday night, but i didnt have my camera with me darnit! He walked in on Friday morning and was totally surprised! He was going to text me back to tell me thank you, but then he decided he would play a little joke on me.... i hadnt heard from him, and knew he would text me to tell me thank you so i got a little worried and decided to text him to see if he got it.... he acted like he had no idea what i was talking about... told me there was nothing on his desk and that no one around him had seen anything on his desk either.... I was SO SAD... I thought one of his coworkers had totally taken it, or that the janitor had cleaned it off. Nope, Devo was just playing a joke on me... he finally told me he was just kidding about 30min later... such a bum!
When I asked Dev what he wanted to do for his birthday he said... GOLF! Duh... hes obsessed! So Dev went with his two cousins Caleb and Jeff and they all played golf Friday afternoon. It was a little rainy outside but they guys sounded like they had a really fun time playing and bonding together. We finished up the evening with Rubio's and some FunFetti Cake back at our place.
The Other thing Dev was looking forward to on his Birthday weekend was WorldCup Soccer... Both Argentina and USA played on Saturday morning, So while the guys watched Soccer I made brunch... Waffles, Egg White Omelets, Chocolate milk, and Fresh Raspberries! I was really excited that Argentina won and that USA didnt get their bootys kicked by England!
Of course to complete the weekend there was just two things missing.... Herping, and Dev's Birthday Present. Saturday after world cup soccer the guys headed out to the golf store, the one thing Devin wanted for his birthday was a brand new driver(golf club), So Dev's parents and I decided we would go in on it together and get him a new driver!Ofcourse i dont know enough to pick that kind of thing out... so i told him he could just pick out the one he wanted..
and low and behold... Devin found the one he had been wanting at a steal of a deal price! He's literally obsessed with this new golf club... he even asked if it could sleep with us last night... hah.. he was joking.. kind of.
The guys finished up the afternoon herping up in Provo Canyon where they found a really cool Salamander, and at the driving range hitting Dev's new club! it was a really relaxing weekend and i think dev got exactly what he wanted for his birthday!

WOW, sounds like he got exactly what he wanted!!! What a GREAT weekend!!! What a ding dong playing a joke on you... wonder where he got that crazy personality of his? LOL... and... the sleeping with the club... sounds just like his dad! I remember Bradly boy wearing his Bball shoes to bed once... and he had his arms around his new bball! MEN.
